New paper on conserved DNA methyltransferases published

This month we published our paper on conserved DNA methyltransferases in Bacteria in Trends in Microbiology. This work proposes strategies in which these MTases can be prioritized to enable a community-wide, integrative approach for functional epigenomic studies. Also, we discuss how some highly conserved DNA MTases may emerge as promising targets for the development of novel epigenetic inhibitors for biomedical applications.

Our Nature Microbiology paper was highlighted in the media

Our recent publication on Clostridioides difficile epigenomics has been receiving media attention. Some examples include GenomeWeb, EurekAlert, Technology Networks, PacBio, Público.
